AMD/Intel Hybrid Graphics -- current solution

The Ubuntu forums post below summarizes the current information on the
AMD/Indel Hybrid Graphics systems:

The ATI 5xxx graphic cards are still an issue, and the solution
proposed in the forums only works for muxless systems, and doesn't
seem to work for 5xxx cards.
